Buyer (Manufacturing / Medical Equipment) - Amico Patient Care

Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and review engineering and CAD drawings to support accurate sourcing and procurement decisions.
- Source, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Prepare and execute RFQs/RFPs; analyze supplier quotations and recommend best-value options.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve the lowest total cost of ownership.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely order confirmations from suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively follow up to ensure on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and customer service teams to align purchasing with production requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities, including freight optimization and supplier consolidation.
- Maintain accurate purchasing data and documentation within ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
- 1–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP experience is an asset) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Solid analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Proactive problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
