Amico Corporation, a medical manufacturing company located in Richmond Hill (Hwy 7 & Leslie area), is looking for an IT Support Technician. The successful applicant will be self-motivated and disciplined, with MCP certification, a diploma from an accredited college or university, and at least 1-2 years’ work experience. Must be fluent in spoken and written English.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Managing and supporting users in an Active Directory, Exchange server & ERP systems (SAP/BV/Spire).
Installing and supporting PC, Laptop, IP Phone, Cell phone, Printers, Servers & CNC
Assist in supporting and installing various hardware and software.
Managing and Supporting Windows Servers 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022/Windows 10 & 11
MS Office 2013/2016/2019 application support.
Assist in supporting and installing networking components (VPN, LAN, WAN, WiFi)

Knowledge of the following is required:

MS Office, Microsoft Exchange & Active Directory
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, File Server
Remote Desktop/Remote assistant and other remote management tools (TeamViewer)
Working knowledge of help desk ticketing systems.
Working knowledge of computer network and protocols.
Working knowledge of Cisco VoIP
Working knowledge of WiFi systems and controller.
Working knowledge of VPN technology

Key Competencies

Strong customer service and organizational skills
Strong Troubleshooting skills
Must have willingness and ability to take initiative

The following would also be useful:

Linux – basic knowledge
Knowledge of network switches, routers, firewall.
Knowledge of Virtualization (storage, servers, workstation)
ERP Systems - SAP Basis.

Preference will be given to candidates with a good understanding of computer networks and an interest in expanding their knowledge and experience in that area.

Regular hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
