Amico Interiors, the newest and fastest growing division of the Amico Group of Companies, is looking for a Junior Purchasing Agent. We design and manufacture custom, hospital-grade Casework and Interior finishes. Our NuLook product is changing how hospitals renovate their patient rooms and is the first of many revolutionary new products that are fueling our growth.
Amico is a global equipment company and an industry leader in the medical construction market. We are currently involved in the most of major hospital projects around the globe; in the GTA we are working on such projects as Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, St. Michael’s Hospital New In-patient Tower, Joseph Brant Hospital, New Oakville Hospital, Mount Sinai, Women’s College Hospital and several more.
The successful candidate will work as a member of a highly energetic, fast-paced purchasing team who source new suppliers as well as negotiate with, and manage, our current supply chain to ensure on-time delivery of our high quality products to our valuable clients. You will be a valued member of our team whose ideas and talents will help shape the organization as we grow.
With over 300% growth last year and an expanding product offering, we have a need for a highly motivated individual who wants to grow with an organization which is dedicated to its people.
Previous purchasing experience in custom metals or wood working/casework is an asset but not required, as we understand that sometimes the best candidates come with a clean slate, great attitude and can adapt and learn while working with our supportive team.
Post-secondary education is preferred but not required.
Previous experience working with an ERP system (currently BV, but will be moving to SAP) is an asset.
